The Lord’s Room

Welcome

The purpose of this site is to share what the Holy Spirit has shown about who Jesus is {Bible, etc}. as you read the posts you will see information meant to help you learn and grow in Christ.

IF YOU DIED TODAY, DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY?

Everyone will die, you can’t escape it, it’s 100% assured. The reason I asked the question is that there is a war being fought for your very soul, but ‘YOU’ are the one who determines the outcome of that war. It’s important that you remember there is an eternity after this earthly life, and your decision determines your destiny. Even if you don’t agree with the idea, please take a look. The decision you make is too important not to find out.

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Mark 8:36-37

PLEASE CONSIDER:

God loves the world so much that he gave His one and only Son. Whoever believes in the Christ will not perish but will have everlasting life. For The Father did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Jesus might be saved. John 3:16-17 Paraphrased

“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Then Jesus said to them again, Most assuredly, I say to you, I Am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. John 10:7-8

“Christianity is a Relationship between God and man based on the life, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ.” Dr. Elmer L. Towns

“Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:3-4

5 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. * Many false pastors and teachers will promise anything. * Always verify with Scripture!

How many times have you thought or heard someone say; What am I here for or what is my purpose? The answer is so simple that most people go through their whole lives and never seem to realize. God created us to have a personal relationship with Him, through that relationship we find meaning.

Jesus’ love for mankind is unlimited; He proved that when He gave His life for us on the cross.

People have asked many times; how do I communicate with God?

When we pray; we talk to Him. When we read the Bible; He speaks to us.

It is possible to know for sure if you are going to be with the Lord. Go to the *Salvation link and find the answer, the Lord wants you to know. My only desire is to share God’s message, to help people make an informed decision. Please bookmark and share this page.

My prayer is that you find this website a blessing because as everyone knows, it isn’t always easy to find answers. I want to give you a straight forward look at the true Christian relationship and not what some have tried to turn it into. Look at what I share with an open mind and consider the information. I want people to understand what the Lord teaches us in His word, not what secular or false teachers “enlighten” us with. Discernment is one of the great gifts the Holy Spirit gives us. It is developed through prayer and study.

Time is very short, Please consider what the Lord has to offer you. Remember, When it seems like there is nobody who will listen, God is always there. God really does Love You!

This website is dedicated to what Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

If your having trouble finding out what God wants for your life. ‘READ’ His handbook

The bible is the greatest remedy for the lost and comfort for those who have been found. It’s the living word of God and nothing can compare to it.

Commandment # 11 Thou shall not twist Scripture {me}

Don’t Expect Your Kids to Care What the Bible Says Unless You’ve Given Them Reason to Believe It’s True * Frank Turek

I did not write all the posts on the site, but credit is given to the authors, or where I got them. I share them because I believe their relevant. I know the “vaccine” information is not part of a religious theme, but it is important. Most of the articles are from links I had on a few sites, I am consolidating all of them here.

God’s plan for you is to be part of His kingdom and be of the bride of Christ. A relationship with God can be wonderful, but you have to take it seriously and you have to work at it… It will only happen through Jesus. We must never forget that nothing is as great as the Glory of the Godhead. God is in need of nothing, yet He still wants you. We all have freedom of choice and you are the one who decides the path you take. Please understand nothing happens over night, but the more you study the more you learn about His love and the path He has chosen for you.

Bless You, In the name of the most Holy and Undivided Trinity.  Dan Beliveau

An Eternal Decision

An Eternal Decision

Matthew

The Pharisees and Sadducees Seek a Sign

16 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed.

In those days and today some people want to be entertained [given a sign]. The religious leaders of that day wanted to see a magic trick. Show us and we will believe, problem is they would have turned it into saying it was just a trick. Sadly there are those who still think their smarter than God. As you probably know that will never happen. The being who created everything in the universe including man. The one who determines all science is never surprised. He is so powerful He even knows our thoughts.

Mark 3;20 Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.” 22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.” This is what prompted Jesus to say 28 “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— 30 because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.” The Septuagint renders the name as Baalzebub (βααλζεβούβ) and as Baal muian (βααλ μυιαν, “Baal of flies”). However Symmachus the Ebionite may have reflected a tradition of its offensive ancient name when he rendered it as Beelzebou * Beelzebub was the Lord of the flies. A cult formed because someone noticed that flies would land on feces. Larvae (maggots) hatch from the eggs, and a fly is born. Somehow they got the idea that is where life came from. It turned into worship of the Lord of the flies.

My plea: In my mind and millions of other peoples. Jesus is the very essence of God who came to Earth while making Himself a little lower than the Angels, taught us the way to relate to the Father. Showed the world the things promised in the Old Testament and finally gave His life as ransom for the sins of everyone who was born and who will be born.

The only thing we can do is meet Him at the foot of the cross, repent and seek His forgiveness. Ephesians 2:8 Being saved is through repentance and asking for forgiveness.

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; If you reject Jesus your calling the Holy Spirit [God] a liar.

God bless

A Proclamation.

A Proclamation.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God.

In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theater of military conflict; while that theater has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union.

Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defence, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom.

No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.

And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, this Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the United States the Eighty-eighth.

By the President: Abraham Lincoln

Sarah Josepha Hale, a magazine editor, wrote a letter to Lincoln on September 28, 1863, urging him to have the “day of our annual Thanksgiving made a National and fixed Union Festival.

Salvation a choice

Salvation a choice

* You must be born again *

How can I be “born again” if I’m already alive? Being “born again” is not about changing what is on the outside. It’s about the inside, how your spirit/soul responds to God.

This is a very long article but it concerns the most important decision you will ever make. Please read it and then decide because your eternity is in the balance. It’s important that you know as much as possible, you have to know the truth to make an informed decision.

In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. See the Book of Genesis. God created man on the 6th day and put them [includes Eve] into the garden. God formed a covenant between Himself and Adam, who was given dominion over all things.

“Man was made, who was the chief of the ways of God, who was designed to be the visible image of the Creator’s glory and the mouth of the creation in his praises” Matthew Henry.

The only real condition was that he could not eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. When Adam took the fruit from Eve and ate it, he broke that covenant. His singular act caused sin to be brought into the creation that was given to man. Just a few of the results of that action was the perfection He created was now flawed. Not only that but Adam who became sin now passes on his sin nature to all mankind.  We now have to look at what all this means. Including: Genesis 3:17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:  “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. * Because of what Adam did not just man but the environment was also effected.

Throughout life we are all searching for that inner peace, or whatever you want to call it. What am I here for?… Sooner or later a person must decide where they stand with God. Everyone will either accept or deny Him, we must decide which path we will take, and your decision effects your eternity. This is a very serious subject so I’m going to tell the truth about the way things are, with no sugar coating.

According to His word, The one thing we can be sure of is, we will all be judged. Agree or disagree, it doesn’t make any difference! God has declared that all people will stand before Him.

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27

The afterlife has no “do-overs.” You have to get it correct now!

Lets look at what His word says.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God”. Romans 3:23

Nobody is above God’s Law.

“As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God; They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” Romans 3:10-12

There fore you say that your a good person, look at the 10 commandments. If you’ve broken even one, according to God’s word; you’ve broken them all. That is why nobody is worthy according to His standards. James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

“Every man, woman, and child wants to do what’s right on his or her terms. These are the steps to imprisoning the heart. First the desire, then the deception, and finally the decision.” Dr. Ravi Zacharias

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” Romans 1:17-20

The doctrine of original sin holds that every person born into the world is corrupted by the Fall and people are powerless to restore themselves but must be rescued by God.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is calling Him a liar. Matthew 12:31-32. It is the only unpardonable sin. The Holy Spirit is the one true witness of who Jesus is. God {Holy Spirit} is telling you Jesus is the only way, to deny Jesus is to calling God a liar.

“BUT”

“For the wages of Sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in you heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness. and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10: 9-10

“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

God’s Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Grace Alone. Faith Alone. Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ.

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:17 *  Acts 16:29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

“The New Covenant is a gift of love. It’s all about the Cross. Jesus had to die to fulfill the covenant. Read Hebrews chapters 9-10. He is reaching down to us with this free gift of eternal life. All we must do is recognize that we fall short of God’s glory and acknowledge that we need the Lord Jesus Christ to be our Savior

We then walk in a personal relationship with God. I live to give God the glory. I am not seeking any glory for myself.” Bev an ex Morman

Many times either in person or on TV, I’ve heard someone say that if my good deeds out weigh my bad deeds, then I’m sure I’m going to heaven. A just God wouldn’t send anyone to Hell.

It’s because He is a just God, that judgment is certain. Because of God’s perfect nature He can’t have sin in His presence. That is why all people will be judged, unless you accept the gift that Jesus provided for you, when He took your sins upon Himself on the cross. You must surrender to the Christ!

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2

“If we truly, sincerely repent and stop waging war with God by our defiance to His standards of right and wrong and humbly come before Him seeking mercy, He will cleanse our soul by the blood of Christ and give us a clean slate.” Author unknown to me

“There are many who speak only of the forgiveness of sin, but who say little or nothing about repentance. If there is nevertheless no forgiveness of sins without repentance, so also forgiveness of sins cannot be understood without repentance. Therefore, if forgiveness of sins is preached without repentance, it follows that the people imagine they have already received the forgiveness of sins, and thereby they become cocksure and fearless, which is then greater error and sin than all the error that preceded our time.”   Melanchthon

“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.” Acts 17:30-31

As a wise man once said: “Our sin is great by God’s standard, But His Love is greater.”

“Take heart, Jesus did not remain in the grave, He had the power to overcome the grave and offers us a free gift of salvation so that we can choose to be with Him. Because Jesus covered the debt you an I owe in our sinning against God [Ephesians 2:8, 1 Peter 1:3-5]; all you and I need to do is honestly confess our sins and truly accept Jesus as your savior.

If you have not accepted God’s love for you, I suggest that your seriously consider doing so as His infinite wisdom and love is comforting and is always there for you. All you need to do is to honestly confess your sins and receive His Son Jesus into your life as your savior from your sins.” Victor E. Pearson

You may have heard the expression “are you saved?” Or something of this nature. The term saved means to be free from judgment. For those who are under the blood of Christ will not go to the Great White Throne judgment. Belonging to a church, or having parents, or a spouse that are saved, calling yourself a Christian, or being baptized as a baby is not being saved. If you believe any of this protects you, It’s just not true. Being saved only happens when you come to the Cross in repentance, and your under the Blood of Christ.

 9. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:9-10

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

If after reading this information, you’d like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior you can either pray the following words or use your own.

Just be sincere!

Father I know that I’m a sinner and that on my own I can do nothing. I believe that your Son Jesus was born of a virgin, was crucified, for my sins, raised from the dead, and now sits at your right hand. Father please forgive me for the sins I’ve committed against you and receive me into the body of Christ. Cleanse my mind and soul, heal me from my pain and suffering. Jesus thank you for dying for my sins, in my place. That because of the blood You shed, You have made a way for me. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen

The next step is to find a Church that uses the Bible as their only authority. This will help you in your walk with Jesus. You must be baptized, [Matthew 28:19] and the church will help you with that. If you don’t have a bible get one, start with the book of Matthew and read at least one chapter a day. After reading the new testament, then go to the old testament. It will help you understand how to see Jesus in the old testament easier. Jesus is in every book of the Bible. I recommend the NKJV, but it’s up to you.

Remember that Christianity is a journey, and in that walk with Christ we must be obedient to His word. Saying a prayer is only the first step. Salvation is something only the individual can work out with God, it’s between the both of you. Not between the person and others and God. Being a Christian means being a disciple of Jesus, you must to be willing to follow in His ways. It’s not repentance if you say a prayer and then continue to serve the world. You do not have Salvation without repentance.

“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10

1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:1-6

There is a path we all have to take. Things like giving up drunkenness, doing drugs or whatever separates us from God. Nobody can tell you it will be easy. But you will find you have a new strength. Like it’s been said “take one day at a time.” Welcome to the Body of Christ, may God bless you.

God bless

“Just as God gave man the sign of the rainbow showing that we wouldn’t go through a flood again. He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit as a sign showing us we wouldn’t go through judgment when we accept Christ as our Savior.” Patrick Hammett

Four Key Principles of Repentance

In our family devotions we have been sharpening some big beliefs, learning some big truths. We have been doing this with help from David Helm as he has led us through the Westminster Confession of Faith. This was a confession that played an important role in my younger years, but one I had neglected until recently. It has been a joy to return to it and learn from it again. Lately we have been learning about salvation and, more specifically, … Continue reading

“My friend you can get saved anywhere, at any place, if the Holy Spirit is tugging at your heart and mind to make that choice of eternity and if you are really ready to surrender to God with all your heart, your will, your heart and your life just the way you are completely to him. Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His own precious blood for the forgiveness of all your sins. All you have to do is open your heart and give yourself fully to him. Jesus alone is the Savior of all souls born into this world. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost.” John D. Butler

Some people will tell you that it’s grace and works that are what save you. When we come under the blood of Christ. We aren’t earning our salvation by our works, but we are evidencing it.

Luke’s Letters

Luke’s Letters

The Books of Luke and Acts

Luke 1 Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, 3 it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, 4 that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.

Acts 1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The first thing you should notice is that they are both addressed to Theophilus. Paul was on trial in Rome and his coworker in the Lord was the Physician Luke. Theophilus was the lead investigator for the court of Cesar. Cesar was going to decide Paul’s fate and Theophilus brought in the evidence. The two books Luke wrote were written not only about the beginning Church but also how Paul played a role.

The letters were in essence affidavits; a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in court. Luke had a first hand account of everything and was more than qualified to testify.

These two letters or books in the New Testament not only give solid evidence they are part of the Canon. Church fathers added them because they were also inspired by the Holy Spirit.

God’s peace

A good reason to leave God?

A good reason to leave God? by Dan Phillips

We have all heard or read stories that end “so after that, I couldn’t believe in Christianity anymore.”

Many of them are like the story of a man who stopped attending church when a close friend’s two daughters died tragically in a car accident. “For him, God just couldn’t allow such a thing and still be worthy of worship and praise,” Adams writes. (This story has a happy ending; not all do, of course.)

To my wholly subjective impression, this seems to be one of three main kinds of “deconversion stories.” Most of these stories are patent fakes, told by someone who clearly had about as much Christian involvement as I have in the government of China. (To wit, I can spell “China.” See? C-h-i-n-a.)

Another tries a more rational approach, claiming Science or contradictions or the like.

A third comes from the other direction, telling sad stories that amount to “not feeling it” anymore for one reason or another.

All of the stories have in common that the God of Christianity let the speaker/writer down. And that was that.

Candidly, as I mentioned, I often simply do not believe the speaker or writer. A great many of these stories range from paint-thin rationalizations unable to withstand 23 consecutive seconds of rational analysis, to cut-and-paste alibis. They’re concocted or borrowed simply to cover up an overruling love for a particular sin or sin-pattern. And that’s just about as deep as it goes.

Observation: the speaker/writer would invariably deny that analysis, insisting on the nobler-seeming, more solid-seeming cover story. But if there’s really no God, why bother with a cover? Just get on with it, no explanation necessary. Especially if you really are no more than matter-in-motion in an amoral, careening, meaningless universe. But I digress.

So let’s ask: when would it be a good, valid time to leave the God of the Bible? Simple: if He does not keep His promises.

Re-inflect: if He does not keep His promises.

I realize that is a daring statement. But I think God Himself drives us to it when He voluntarily enters into covenant, as we see it in Genesis 15. After all, what is the symbolism of only the smoking fire pot and the flaming torch passing between the pieces of animals? What is God saying when He swears by Himself (cf. Genesis 22:16-18Isaiah 45:23Hebrews 6:13ff.)?

All of the sad stories I’ve heard or read, by contrast, amount to this: I left God because He did not meet my expectations. Let’s try on a few of the more popular specifics:

  1. Death might be a good reason to leave God if He had promised that men and women would never die. He did not.
  2. tragic death might be a good reason to leave God if He promised to prevent all tragic deaths. He has not.
  3. Any death might be a good reason to leave God if He lacked the right to deal out both life and death. He does not.
  4. Misfortune might be a good reason to leave God if He promised His children, let alone everyone, exemption from misfortune. He does not.
  5. Inexplicable (by us) tragedy might be a good reason to leave God if He promised to prevent all such tragedies from happening. He does not.
  6. Hard events befalling believers of which no sense can immediately be made, and in which no good can immediately be seen, might be a good reason to leave God if He promised that such would never happen. He does not.
  7. Apparent contradictions in Scripture, even ones for which we’ve found no solution, might be a good reason to leave God if He promised that all Scripture would be simple, and equally immediately transparent to every reader. He does not.
  8. Lack of evidence that forces the unwilling to convert against their will might be a good reason to leave God (A) if such were even definitionally possible, and (B) if God promised to provide such. He does not.
  9. Lack of evidence that no one can possibly pervert, ignore, twist nor deny might be a good reason (A) if such were even definitionally possible, and (B) if God promised to provide such. He does not.
  10. God’s failure to meet expectations we put on Him might be a good reason if He promised to be the servant of our expectations. To say the least, He does not.

I know the dogged disbeliever’s response to this, because I’ve heard it: “You’re stacking it in such a way that there is no denying the God of the Bible. You’re saying we should just believe God because He says we should.”

To that, this:

  1. Assuming that God is as the Scripture says He is, what would you expect? And
  2. Assuming that God is as the Scripture says He is, to what higher authority could any appeal be made?

Since Genesis 3:6 fallen humanity’s agenda has been the pursuit of one goal: to make the world safe for sin.

Five signs proving the Bible to be true

Five signs proving the Bible to be true

When it comes to looking at proof regarding the truth and Divine origin of the Bible there are at least five main categories of evidence:

1. The evidence coming from scientific facts contained in the Bible.

(See article entitled “Signs of Inspiration”). Examples include such things as, Isaiah stating that the earth is round, and Job referring to the earth being suspended in space, etc. All these facts were stated hundreds of years before modern scientific research discovered these things to be so.

2. The evidence coming from archaeological discoveries.

Nelson Glueck the renowned Middle East archaeologist points out; “In all of my archaeological investigation I have never found anything from antiquity which contradicts any statement in the Bible.” See http://www.arkdiscovery.com This website shows a range of exciting discoveries such as the remains of Pharoah’s army which drowned after the Israelities escaped through the waters of the Red Sea. See also “The Exodus Case” written by Dr Lennart Moller which examines the accounts given in the Book of Exodus, and “Untold Secrets of Planet Earth” written by Vance Nelson looking at the subject of dinosaurs and the Bible.

3. The evidence coming from history.

The historical accuracy of Scripture has been verified time and again and many books have been written on this subject such as “The case for Christ Study Bible; Investigating the Evidence for Belief” General Editor Lee Strobel and the five volume series entitled “Evidence for the Truth” by Dr E.K. Victor Pearce.

4. The evidence coming from fulfilled Bible prophecy.

The Bible is unique amongst ancient literature because one third of it is composed of prophecy and predictions. Many of these prophecies have already come to pass although they were written down hundreds and in some cases thousands of years before the events they foretold. No other ancient or modern work is similar to this in content. This is one of the main ways in which God displays the truth and authenticity of Holy Scripture; by predicting events long before they come to pass. It is a clear sign revealing the Divine origin of the Bible. It is God’s way of clearly demonstrating to the world that the Bible really has been inspired by Him and can be trusted and relied upon. Unbelievers may try to ignore the fulfillment of these prophecies, but they are a matter of fact and are there for all to see, if they want to see. (See articles such as; “Amazing Prophecy Fulfilled”, “Israel and the Middle East in Prophecy”, etc).

5. The evidence coming from mathematical patterns and numeric designs in the text of Scripture.

(NB This is a purely mathematical subject and mustn’t be confused with “The Bible Code” or indeed anything associated with numerology). The Bible has many unique properties revealing its Divine origin but one of the most amazing is that it was written with “a sevenfold mathematical structure and design” hidden in the Hebrew and Greek languages of which it was composed. The number seven, or an exact multiple of seven, repeatedly features in every conceivable way from Genesis right through to Revelation.

The Bible, which is the world’s number one best seller, is not strictly one book; it is in fact a volume of 66 books written over 1500 years by about 44 different authors. Each of these authors state that they are describing and recording visions, commandments and information inspired to them by God and that He is the ultimate Author behind what they have written. A sevenfold mathematical pattern pervades Scripture showing clearly that it is indeed the product of “supernatural engineering” rather than mere human thought. It is something so complicated, no human composer could have achieved it and is a clear sign of God’s Hand.

Take for example, the genealogy of Jesus, the Son of God, as recorded in the first 11 verses of Matthew’s Gospel. Studying the passage as it was written in New Testament Greek, research reveals the following amazing details-

The number of words in the entire genealogy is exactly divisible by seven. The number of letters used, are exactly divisible by seven. The number of vowels and consonants used are exactly divisible by seven. The number of words that begin with a vowel is exactly divisible by seven. The number of words that begin with a consonant is exactly divisible by seven. The number of words which occur more than once is exactly divisible by seven. The number of words which occur in more than one form is exactly divisible by seven. The number of words which occur in only one form is exactly divisible by seven. The number of nouns is exactly divisible by seven. Only seven words are not nouns. The number of names in the genealogy is exactly divisible by seven. Only seven other kinds of nouns occur. The number of male names is exactly divisible by seven. The number of generations is 21, exactly divisible by seven.

The mathematical structure observed in the genealogy of Jesus is staggering, the numerous heptadic features showing clearly that this couldn’t be the work of unaided human thought, but the result of Divine inspiration.

Then again, numerous examples occur in Matthew’s account of the birth of Jesus (verses 18-25).

The number of Greek words in the passage is 161, exactly divisible by seven. The numeric value of all these 161 words is exactly divisible by seven. (NB. Ancient cultures used their alphabet not just to form words but also as their numbering system. Each letter in their alphabet also meant a number. The numeric value of a word is the sum total of what its letters add up to, when each letter is taken as a number). The number of Greek vocabulary words in this passage is exactly divisible by seven. The one word found nowhere else in the New Testament is the Greek word “Emmanuel”. It has a numeric value exactly divisible by seven. The number of forms in which these 161 words occur is 105, exactly divisible by seven. Of these 105, the number of verbs is exactly divisible by seven. Of the 105 forms, the number of proper names is exactly seven. The number of Greek letters in these 7 proper names is exactly divisible by seven.

When it comes to Matthew’s account of Christ’s Childhood yet again the same numerical pattern is found.
The number of Greek vocabulary words used in Matthew ch 2 is 161, exactly divisible by seven. The number of Greek letters in these 161 words is 896, exactly divisible by seven. The numeric value of the 161 vocabulary words is 123,529, exactly divisible by seven. The number of forms in the passage is 238, exactly divisible by seven. The numeric value of these forms is 166,985, again exactly divisible by seven.

Although there are several “topics” covered in Matthew ch 2 which are separate from the rest of the passage, each one has numerical features all of its own. They are separate from the rest of the passage and yet in a peculiar and intricate way, they form a part of the amazing feature of the whole chapter. They are intertwined in such a phenomenal way that the entire chapter is one great mathematical unit. There are 3 speeches in the chapter. Herod speaks, the wise men, and the angel speaks. Each speech shows numeric features in itself yet each forms only part of the chapter which as a whole has numeric features of its own.

Studying the Old Testament in the Hebrew language in which it was written, reveals exactly the same structures and patterns which are found in the New Testament.
Take for example, Genesis ch1v1; the simple yet profound statement “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
The number of Hebrew words in this proclamation is seven. The total numerical value of the three nouns, God, heaven and earth is 777, a figure exactly divisible by seven. The number of letters in these three nouns is 14, exactly divisible by seven. The numerical value of the verb “created” is 203, exactly divisible by seven. The numerical value of the first and last letters of the seven words of this proclamation is 1393, exactly divisible by seven. The total number of Hebrew letters in the seven words is 28, exactly divisible by seven. And so it goes on. In this proclamation alone, linguists have identified a total of 18 separate features of the number seven.

This sevenfold structure or pattern is found throughout Scripture and is completely unique to the Bible. The number seven underlies and permeates the text in every conceivable manner. These patterns aren’t found in any other ancient literature. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and all the other writings of John including Revelation, James, Peter Jude and all the writings of St Paul displays this phenomena as do all the writings of the Old Testament.

Different kinds of this phenomena are being discovered all the time.
For instance, it has been noted that the numeric value of the Hebrew names of the 21 Old Testament writers is exactly divisible by seven. Of these 21 writers, those named in the New Testament are Moses, David, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Hosea, and Joel, in all exactly seven. The numeric value of these seven names is exactly divisible by seven. These seven names occur in the Old Testament 2,310 times, again a number exactly divisible by seven.
The examples never seem to come to an end. This sevenfold pattern in Scripture interlocks paragraph with paragraph and book with book throughout the entire Bible.

The founding father of the Science of Biblical Numerics, was a Russian mathematician and literary scholar called Dr Ivan Panin. This mathematical and analytical genius was born in Russia in 1855. He grew up an ardent athiest and after being involved in plots to overthrow the Czar ultimately entered Harvard University in the US. He was a Master of Literary Criticism and was so well known in the literary field that his conversion from believing in atheism to accepting Christianity in 1882, made newspaper headlines. (He was a sort of “Richard Dawkins” figure to the people of his generation).

One day in 1890, Panin was casually reading St John’s Gospel in New Testament Greek. As a gifted linguist and mathematician he suddenly noticed what appeared to be a numerical relationship between certain words. This aroused his curiosity to examine the Biblical text from a “mathematical perspective” something which had never been done before.

As a committed Christian, Panin devoted the next 50 years of his life to exploring and highlighting the numerical designs underlying both the Greek text of the New Testament and the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. During these years he produced over 43,000 pages of analysis showing the Hand of God working behind the human authors of the Bible. The mathematical patterns he revealed have never been denied; one cannot argue with mathematics, and the implications of their presence has encouraged and strengthened the faith of countless millions across the world. It has awakened the conscience of individuals who have tried to ignore God’s commandments, and it has comforted the afflicted and bereaved with the knowledge that God’s promises of the life beyond will most certainly be fulfilled.

His research proved the supernatural origin of Scripture at the very same time liberal critics were becoming popular in casting doubts on the reliability of the Bible. (See article entitled “Liberal Theology and the Truth of the Bible”). Owing to the Providential timing of his research, Panin’s work is often regarded as God’s answer to liberal theology and His rebuke to the notion that Scripture is but an untrustworthy composition of human hand. The Science of Biblical Numerics which he founded proves the unique character of the Bible. It shows its Divine origin; it shows it can be trusted and relied upon.

In an age when people are looking for signs and evidence that the Bible is true, how reassuring it is that God raised up and gifted this man to strengthen the faithful and help the wavering. Panin died in 1942 but the research he began continues to this day. As can be seen, the Bible is no work of mere human origin but the work of God the Holy Spirit. As it states in 2nd Peter ch1v 21 “Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” and in 2nd Timothy ch3v16 “All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God…”.

Legalism

Legalism

There are some people who have come to believe that if they don’t get back to their Jewish roots they miss the boat. I am talking about those who aren’t Jewish, people who want to get back to the law and make sure that it’s the only way to salvation. In this context it’s Christians who have come to think it’s better to go back.

A conversation went on for a good period of time and I was given verses that showed how the law had to be followed to be in the will of God. I explained that we were not to push the Law aside because Jesus said He came to fulfill the Law not change it.

That did no good because apparently I still missed the point. And the Law was given as the only answer. My response was very simple. Jesus came and paid the price on the cross because we are incapable of being good enough to satisfy the Law. It was only through Him that we are able to receive God’s grace.

Conclusion: my comments were deleted because of my answer. I was not aware that some who came to Yeshua hate Jesus. Really blew my mind.

Here’s what this is all about If you think your going to make “points” with God because you all of a sudden become legalistic then you have missed the reason Jesus came in the first place. If you think you can be good enough to get to heaven you don’t understand that if it were true… Jesus wouldn’t have had to die on the cross for you.

Pure and simple fact your a sinner just like everyone else, you are condemned because you were born in sin. You can’t fix that by yourself, you must go through Jesus alone. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Many people try to twist that or change it and allow for any other means, but the truth is their liars and if you follow their lead, it will lead you directly into damnation.

“O you legalists who are looking to yourselves for some arguments
with which to prevail with God! O you who look to your sacraments,
to your outward forms, to your pious deeds and your almsgivings
for something that will move the heart of God–know this, that
these things are no lever that can ever move Him to love!
Nothing but your sin and misery can ever stir His mercy!
And you look to the wrong place when you look to your merits
to find a plea why he should show pity upon you!” Charles Spurgeon

“Made in the Image of God”

“Made in the Image of God”

We know God by His Word, [the Bible]. We also know Him by personal revelation. Sometimes God will give an individual a message. That can take different avenues, an impression, a vision, or rare times a voice. When we are of the Body of Christ every person is given at least one spiritual gift by the Holy Spirit. Sometime like the gift of discernment having knowledge of truth.

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them”

Many times people interpret it to mean His physical body. But look again at what it says. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness”. It’s important to remember God is Spirit. we must also worship in spirit, the Godhead is spirt, and even though heavenly angels have bodies, they are spiritual bodies. When Jesus came back after the resurrection He had the body everyone will have, the same eternal {flawless} body. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Our image of God is of spiritual nature. Because God is spirit we must relate to Him on a spiritual level. Our being must seek Him on that level. God created us differently than anything else in the world. Since we are just below the angels more is expected of us than the animal kingdom for instance. This scriptural passage does not mean that God is in human form, but rather, that humans are in the image of God in their moral, and spiritual, and intellectual nature. Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

The more we study, the more we pray, and the more we seek Him the more we learn about that image. If you have been given a spiritual gift, you can gain more of it {stronger} through studying His Word and Prayer.

If you have a spiritual gift, don’t boast about it, but in humility use it to serve and always to honor Jesus. Psalms 16:1 Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
As for the saints who are on the earth,
“They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”

When we really think about what it means to be one with God. We need to look at what Jesus has said. We must remember that God Himself became human and told us what was important, and showed us how much He loves us….

Be still and know that I am God. Psalms 46:10 * In essence meditate about who we are in relationship to Him. As God, He is sovereign, faithful, omnipotent and unfailing.

God bless

What is our path?

What is our path?

Why are so many preachers afraid to tell people the truth?. As anyone can see by the news stories the U.S. is under siege, maybe not by a uniformed army from another country. But by a spiritual army straight out of hell.

If you want the answer to why evil is expanding, read the book of Hosea showing what happened with Israel and apply it to the U.S. of today. We are doing our best to kick God out of our lives and our nation and are seeing the results of our decisions.

America has been blessed more than any nation in history and now we have become to important to show respect or the proper praise to the One who gave it to us.

Start looking at our National illness! We are kicking God out everywhere and yet we wonder why He’s rejecting us. We have to get on our knees and beg His forgiveness before it is too late. The Church is turning it’s back on the ways of God and will see His displeasure. When a Pastor says things like people are born that way, that preacher is denying God’s truth. Everyone will be accountable for what they do. Preachers and teachers more so.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19. because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21. because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22. Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23. and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25. who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.

It’s not too late, but we have to humble ourselves. Because if we don’t Satan will win more and more. The Socialists will decay more and more of our national values. Islam will get a bigger stronghold and the God we once honored will be pushed aside even farther.

If nothing else remember that we have God’s Word. In scripture God explains to us what He expects. You are the one who decides what path you take. God is asking you to come to Him, but remember after this life there is no do over. We can’t ignore what the Socialists in America are doing and keep saying it’s not your fault if you close your eyes. Our future depends on what path we pick.

God bless
