Every Christian A Saint
by Dr. Ralph Hammond… A Golden Apple a day
Christian, do you know that you are a saint?
Saint Jimmy! Saint Susy! Saint whomever you are– but a saint
IF
you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour!
How wonderful to be a saint!
St. Paul writes in First Corinthians that Christians are indeed
“called to be saints”!
To think upon the subject for a moment, you can readily see that born-again Christians are certainly not called to be sinners!
So then, if you are a Christian, by God’s Holy Word you are a saint!
And all the Christians in a given church are “the congregation of the saints”!
The saint’s job, then, is to do “the ministry of the saints”–
That is, through meekness and love and humility, Proclaim the Gospel message; Edify other saints; And is all things, glorify the Lord
That He might indeed “be glorified in His saints”!
And saints should do their work joyfully, for in truth they are
they are so admonished: “let thy saints shout for joy”!
And the beautiful thing is, God watches over His saints, for Psalms
tells us, “He preserveth the souls of His saints”!
Even in death the Lord remembers His saints: “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints”!
Saints destined to be forever in the precious presence of the Lord”!
Oh Lord, May I be Your radiant saint, in life and in death.
